Alright, Disney fans, let’s dive into the most magical part of any Disney trip: the planning and the anticipation! Before we even set foot in the parks, there’s this whole world of fun that comes from looking things up online, checking out what new attractions might be opening around the time we’re there, and figuring out if we’re hitting any special events. Is it going to be holiday season? Are there after-hours parties? All those little details get us even more excited because we know we’re in for something special.
We also love to sprinkle in a little family storytelling time before we go—reminiscing about past trips, sharing those hilarious stories, and building up the excitement. It’s all part of the magic. And who knows—maybe we’ll find out about a hidden gem or a new treat we haven’t tried yet.
And speaking of the parks—oh, the joy of planning which attractions we’ll revisit and which new ones we’ll try! For example, I promised my daughter that I wouldn’t experience Tiana’s Bayou Adventure without her, so we’re going to do that for the first time together. I don’t care if it’s better or different than the old ride—it’s about keeping that promise and sharing that first-time magic with her.
From that point on, it’s all about that beautiful blend of nostalgia and new adventures. We’re talking about revisiting those old favorites in the parks—making sure we actually slow down to take pictures, capture those memories, and really soak it all in. And of course, there’s the fun of planning those little extras—like what to wear, what fun little games to play before we leave, and whether we’re going to swing by the Disney Character Warehouse for a bargain on a 2023 Very Merry Christmas shirt for a buck—because who doesn’t love a good Disney bargain with a side of nostalgia?
In the end, it’s really about the joy of spending that time together as a family, even in the planning stages. Disney has this magical way of letting us escape the everyday stress and just be kids again, even if we have to budget a bit for it! We’ll miss our dogs a lot, no doubt about it, but we know we’ll be making memories that will last a lifetime.
So here’s to planning, dreaming, and getting ready for that next Disney adventure. It’s going to be a blast, and I can’t wait to share all those moments with you!
