Just Joshin – FOMO, Big Time
As an avid Disney fan—someone who absolutely lights up at the thought of Disney World trips, recording a Disney podcast with my sister Gina, and meeting all these amazing friends through our Disney adventures—there’s one thing I never quite prepared for: the moment when half of your podcast crew is living it up at Disney without you. And not just them—it’s the whole family you haven’t seen in ages, posting Instagram reels and snapshots of all the fun they’re having. It’s like a master class in FOMO, and here I am trying not to lose my mind pretending I don’t resent missing out on every single second of it.
So, if you’ve ever been in that boat—watching the magic unfold from afar while everyone you know is living it up—trust me, you’re not alone. It’s a weird cocktail of being thrilled for them and also kind of wanting to throw your phone into a lagoon just so you don’t have to see another “Wish you were here!” post. But hey, that’s what this blog is all about—just joshin’ around and letting you know that FOMO is real, it’s okay to admit it, and maybe next time, we’ll all get to be part of the magic together.
To wrap it up, I just want to say I truly wish them all the best. And honestly, this whole wave of FOMO is just making me look forward even more to the Festival of Friends coming up in May. Getting to hang out in my favorite place in the world with all our friends is going to be worth the wait. For now, I’ll just have to live vicariously through their adventures and the little updates from other friends bumping into them down there. I am definitely FOMO-ing big time, but I’m still so happy for them, and May can’t get here soon enough for us all to celebrate together…
